The CSCA-A Series Hall-effect based current sensor, designated as CSCA0050A000B15B02, is a high-quality open-loop sensor designed for precise and reliable current measurement. Featuring a 50A RMS nominal and a ±150A range, this sensor is well-suited for a variety of industrial applications. Utilizing Hall-effect technology, the sensor provides an output voltage that is linearly related to the amplitude and phase of the magnetic field applied to it. As current flows through a primary conductor, a rotating magnetic field is generated, and this field is captured by a core of magnetically sensitive material, concentrating it in the core's gap where the Hall-effect device is located. Consequently, the output of the Hall-effect device is directly proportional to the amplitude and phase of the primary current. To ensure accuracy, the sensor's output is calibrated for gain and offset, providing a predefined output sensitivity versus primary current.
