The LM5069MM-2/NOPB is a positive hot swap controller that offers intelligent control of power supply connections during the insertion and removal of circuit cards from a live system backplane or other hot power sources. With its in-rush current control, it effectively limits system voltage droop and transients. Additionally, the LM5069 features programmable current limit and power dissipation in the external series pass N-Channel MOSFET to ensure safe operation within the Safe Operating Area (SOA). The POWER GOOD output serves to indicate when the output voltage is within 1.25V of the input voltage. The programmable input undervoltage and overvoltage lockout levels and hysteresis, as well as the initial insertion delay time and fault detection time, provide versatility in meeting specific application requirements. The LM5069-1 latches off after a fault detection, while the LM5069-2 offers automatic restart at a fixed duty cycle. With its 10-pin VSSOP package, the LM5069 is a compact and versatile solution for power management in a variety of systems
