The LM5111 Dual Gate Driver revolutionizes industry standards by offering a peak output current boost and efficiency improvement. Each compound output driver stage boasts MOS and bipolar transistors operating in parallel, sinking more than 5-A peak from capacitive loads. By combining the unique strengths of MOS and bipolar devices, it reduces drive current variation with voltage and temperature. A failsafe undervoltage lockout protection is also built-in to ensure seamless operation. The drivers can be operated in parallel with inputs and outputs connected to double the drive current capability. This cutting-edge device is available in the SOIC package or the thermally enhanced MSOP-PowerPAD package.
