MAX232CPE+ is a RS-232 transceiver integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by Maxim Integrated. The device features four drivers and four receivers, allowing for bi-directional communication between RS-232 and TTL voltage levels. The IC operates from a single 5V power supply and is capable of interfacing with 5V logic levels. The MAX232CPE+ is designed to provide isolation between RS-232 and TTL signals, protecting sensitive components from voltage spikes and over-voltage conditions. It also includes on-chip charge pump voltage converters, eliminating the need for external capacitors.The device has a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for a variety of industrial and commercial applications. The MAX232CPE+ comes in a 16-pin PDIP package, making it easy to integrate into existing designs.
