Designed to meet the stringent requirements of the IEC 62053 standard, the MCP3905AT-I/SS is a cutting-edge energy measurement IC that delivers exceptional performance in metering applications. Equipped with two 16-bit delta-sigma ADCs and a programmable gain of up to 16, this device enables the design of compact shunt meters capable of measuring a broad range of Ib and Imax currents. The MCP3905A's output features a frequency proportional to the average active power at the inputs, as well as a high-frequency output that is proportional to the instantaneous power for meter calibration purposes. Furthermore, the integrated on-chip voltage reference offers an ultra-low temperature drift of just 15 ppm/°C, ensuring accurate and precise energy measurements
