The TL16C2550IRHBR is a versatile product that combines the functionality of two TL16C550D UARTs, providing a dual universal asynchronous receiver and transmitter. Each UART within the TL16C2550 operates independently, with its own register set and FIFOs. This allows for efficient data processing and communication between devices. The ACE, or Asynchronous Communications Element, feature of the TL16C2550 enhances system efficiency by buffering received and transmitted characters, reducing software overhead for the CPU. Additionally, the selectable autoflow control feature helps manage serial data flow by utilizing handshakes between the RTS output and CTS input, preventing overruns in the receive FIFO. With a programmable baud rate generator capable of accommodating speeds up to 1.5-Mbaud, the TL16C2550 ensures high-speed data transmission with precision and reliability
