The TMS320DM642AZNZ6 is a high-performance DSP ideal for digital media applications, offering up to 5760 million instructions per second (MIPS) at a clock rate of 720 MHz. With its VelociTI.2™ architecture, the DM642 device combines high-speed controller flexibility with array processor numerical capabilities. Featuring a 64 general-purpose register core processor and eight functional units, the DM642 DSP can perform four 16-bit multiply-accumulates (MACs) per cycle or eight 8-bit MACs per cycle. Additionally, the DM642 includes a two-level cache-based architecture and a diverse set of peripherals, such as three configurable video ports, an Ethernet MAC, and multiple serial ports, making it a versatile solution for a variety of applications
